Other measures, like redesigning the wholesale electricity market, using advanced weather forecasting, implementing smart meters, and managing energy demand more effectively, can also help ensure a smooth transition. However, in India, demand-side management hasn’t had much impact yet because smart meters are still in the early stages of adoption, and time-of-use tariffs are not widely used.
