Piccadily Agro Industries Limited (PAIL), the maker of Indri single malt and Camikara rum, has announced a major expansion plan worth ₹1000 crore. This plan includes expanding its current distillery and malt facilities in Indri, Haryana, building a new distillery in Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh, and setting up its first international distillery in Portavadie, Scotland.
In September 2024, PAIL secured ₹262 crore from investors through a preferential allotment, with an additional ₹50 crore invested by the company’s promoters. The expansion is expected to take about 24 months to complete. Phase one of the malt and ethanol facilities at the Indri plant is set to be ready by early 2025.
