Senior IAS officer from the Rajasthan cadre, Subodh Agarwal, will now serve as the Chairman of the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Institute in Jaipur. In a recent transfer order from the Rajasthan government, IAS Subodh Agarwal has been assigned this new responsibility. Previously, Agarwal held the position of Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Public Health Engineering and Groundwater, as well as in the Water Resources Department and the State Water Resources Planning Department of Rajasthan.
Originally from Uttar Pradesh, IAS Subodh Agarwal has gained valuable experience in several important roles within the Rajasthan cadre. Over his career, he has worked in 40 different positions, making him highly versatile. Though his family is from Uttar Pradesh, Agarwal completed his schooling at the Scindia School in Gwalior. After studying there from 1977 to 1983, he completed his 12th grade and was selected for IIT. In 1983, he enrolled in Civil Engineering at IIT Delhi and began preparing for civil services. He was selected for the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) in the 1988 batch and was assigned to the Rajasthan cadre. IAS Subodh Agarwal holds a Ph.D. in Economics and has also earned an LLB degree.
